Rain is Good!!

You could ask is Rain Good?  Many in Kolkata today would not be of the opinion of it is good but it was Good for me and that is what it matters.

Started with a long wait under the skimpy Umbrella I own (the monsoon hit me on my face reminding me that an Umbrella is on the wait list since ages ) and with each moment I tried to belay under its protection , I secretly made a promise to myself about the big grand ones available up in my hometown. I am surely gonna get one in my next visit home.

Somehow  after about an hour's struggle I found myself comfortable and smiling in my squeaky sandals in my office floor. I could see several beaming faces flashing their whites with the excitement and vigor although we are no farmers.

Far in the distance the downpour had already started striking its venom felling down trees and splashing kichar   all over some innocent souls (perhaps their yesterlife karma). Outside the footpath vendors were desperately trying to operate their makeshift hotels, people were running helter skelter determined to win this waging battle against the tease of nature.

Although I stay in Kolkata this was a lovely sight , pretty adventurous. The walk back home was equally enthralling with queues of people trying to get back home, I usually walk back home and this weather did not dither but rekindled my spirits , enchanting my soul to make me nostalgic of my childhood days, the days when we use to run downhill in pouring rain, enjoy a game of soccer in muddy fields splashing a goal here and there.

Its cool after especially after gulping down a sip of hot Darjeeling Tea.
woha its wonderful!!

Hit by Stenosis

I was hit on my daily course of action by this weakening sickness of the spine, which I learnt had been injected to my system about four years ago when I had , had an accident on the Sukuna Highway when I was still in college.
Now the injury aggravated by some Gym-ming sessions  made me seek medical attention.
Some months of running from Clinic after clinic to hospital and after rounds of the Docs I managed to figure out with the help of an MRI that I had damaged my Spine.

Family discussions and some research, I headed for Apollo Hospital in Chennai.

Today was a normal day, just that woke up a  little late, infact very late to be true. Hurried through my morning chores , grabbed a bit at what was there and ran for the bus.

Budgeted the estimates that were to be submitted and after a disgusting lunch headed for some fun frolicked afternoon.

An IceCream , yum yummy chocolate caramel and the taste buds jovially jumping .
The bite reminds me of the childhood that I spent , up in Darjeeling where the weather kisses your face and makes your day.
How we used to laze on the setting sun, especially when the dipping sun bids you with warmth and invites the jackets and pullovers. The stroll then down the Chowrastha , the pale yellow light hitting the Himalayas and giving the glimpse of the melting pot of gold,  the vapour of which sublimed and sat over the town , all night long only to be retreat on the morning cast the suns rays had on them.
Seems just like the memories of yesterday which I want to repeat and never get bored each long day.

Remind me that I got to visit a doc tomorrow to have my right leg fixed.
The pain is mild but its so very nagging , hope the doc does something good about it.

Came home at 7:30 in the evening and had to cook ma supper.
closed the chapter with a nice bolly flick!!
